Evergrowth Haven groups are spaces for conversation, connection, shared interests, peer support, learning, and community participation.
This page explains the basic participation expectations that apply when you choose to enter an Evergrowth Haven group or community activity. Individual groups may have additional expectations based on their purpose.
Participation Is Your Choice
Joining Evergrowth Haven does not require you to participate in every group, activity, conversation, or feature.
You decide where you participate, how much you contribute, and what you choose to share.
You may decline a question, remain quiet, turn off your camera when the particular activity allows it, leave a conversation, or discontinue optional participation.
Your Boundaries Remain Yours
Participation does not transfer control of your personal boundaries to Evergrowth Haven, a facilitator, or another participant.
You may establish, communicate, reconsider, or change a boundary as circumstances change.
Other participants are expected to respect clearly communicated boundaries and may establish their own.
What You Choose to Share
Groups may involve personal conversations. You are responsible for deciding what information you want to disclose about yourself.
You are never required by these general participation terms to disclose a diagnosis, trauma history, recovery history, medical information, family information, financial information, legal information, or other sensitive personal information.
Privacy Between Participants
Participants are expected to treat other people’s personal stories and identifying information with respect and discretion.
However, Evergrowth Haven cannot guarantee confidentiality between community participants.
Another participant may remember, repeat, copy, screenshot, or otherwise disclose information despite community expectations. Please consider that possibility when deciding what to share.
Camera and Microphone Use
Some online groups may offer or require audio or video interaction depending on the nature of the activity.
Turning on your camera or microphone allows other people present in that meeting to see or hear you. It does not automatically authorize Evergrowth Haven or another participant to intentionally record, publish, or distribute your image or voice.
Recording Is Separate Consent
Joining a group, creating an account, entering a video meeting, or turning on your camera or microphone does not by itself constitute consent to intentional audio recording, video recording, photography, or publication.
If Evergrowth Haven intends to record an activity, participants will receive separate notice and any consent required for that recording.
Participants may not intentionally record or distribute another participant’s image, voice, personal story, or identifying information in violation of applicable law, the Community Guidelines, or the rules of the particular group.
Peer Support and Community Conversation
Some Evergrowth Haven groups may involve peer support or conversations about mental health, recovery, trauma, grief, parenting, relationships, identity, or other personal experiences.
Peer support is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or emergency intervention.
Participants may share experiences, perspectives, resources, or ideas. Each participant remains responsible for deciding what is appropriate for their own circumstances.
Different Rooms Can Have Different Rules
A gardening group, parenting conversation, professional-development group, grief space, recovery group, student activity, and community hangout may reasonably operate differently.
Individual groups may establish additional expectations concerning privacy, eligibility, cameras, participation, moderation, professional boundaries, attendance, or other matters related to that group’s purpose.
Those expectations apply in addition to these general participation terms.
Facilitators
Facilitators help maintain the purpose and boundaries of a group. Depending on the activity, a facilitator may be a peer specialist, student, professional, community member, contractor, volunteer, or other approved participant.
A facilitator’s presence does not automatically create a therapist-client, physician-patient, or other licensed clinical relationship.
If someone is providing a separate professional service within their licensed or credentialed role, additional disclosures, agreements, or professional requirements may apply.
Students and Supervised Participants
Some Evergrowth Haven activities may include students or developing professionals participating for education, supervised experience, observation, facilitation, or professional development.
When their role is relevant to the activity, participants should be informed that students or supervised participants are involved.
Student participation does not independently guarantee academic credit, certification hours, licensure hours, or approval by a school or credentialing organization.
Respect the Room
Participants may disagree, ask questions, use humor, explore difficult subjects, and bring different experiences into the same space.
Participation does not permit harassment, threats, exploitation, discrimination, intimidation, stalking, deliberate humiliation, sexual harassment, or intentional disruption of the group.
The Evergrowth Haven Community Guidelines apply to group participation.
Safety and Emergencies
Evergrowth Haven groups are not emergency-response services and are not continuously monitored for emergencies.
If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service in your location.
You Can Leave
Optional participation remains optional.
Unless a separate program agreement creates a specific obligation, you may stop participating in a group or activity.
Leaving a conversation does not require you to surrender information you did not choose to disclose or explain a personal boundary simply because someone else wants an explanation.
Agreement to Participate
By voluntarily participating in an Evergrowth Haven group or community activity, you acknowledge that:
- You have reviewed the participation expectations applicable to the activity.
- You understand that community participation is not guaranteed to be confidential.
- You are responsible for deciding what personal information you choose to disclose.
- You agree to respect the boundaries, privacy, and participation choices of others.
- You understand that account creation or ordinary participation is not blanket consent to intentional recording.
- You understand that individual groups may establish additional reasonable requirements.
- You agree to follow the Evergrowth Haven Community Guidelines while participating.
Participation should create room for people—not take it away from them.
