Help and support when you need it.
The Help Gap.
That space between needing something and knowing where the hell to find it.
The Help Gap is a community-driven effort to connect needs, resources, knowledge, and people who have something to offer.
Sometimes help exists.
A family needs beds. Someone knows an organization that has them. A student needs experience. A community group needs another voice.
Someone has knowledge, a connection, a resource, or a little time. Someone else needs exactly that.
But those people may never cross paths.
The Help Gap creates a place to start making those connections.
It’s not always what you think.
Needs come in different forms. So do the things people have to offer.
“We need a bed.”
Furniture, clothing, food, transportation, school supplies, household items, and other practical needs.
“Where do I even start?”
Help finding programs, understanding available services, navigating systems, or identifying the next step.
“I just need my people.”
Community groups, shared interests, conversation, collaboration, and opportunities to belong.
“Can somebody show me?”
Skills, mentoring, learning opportunities, professional development, and practical experience.
“I have something to give.”
Time, experience, supplies, a professional connection, a useful resource, or an idea.
“What if we tried this?”
New ideas, unusual collaborations, and possibilities that don’t fit neatly into an existing category.
Two sides of the same conversation.
You don’t have to arrive with a solution. You can arrive with a question, a need, an idea, or something to share.
I could use some help.
Tell us what you’re looking for. It might be a resource, a connection, information, an opportunity, or something you haven’t quite figured out how to ask for yet.
- What do you need?
- What have you already tried?
- What would be useful right now?
I might have something.
Maybe you know a program. Maybe you have supplies, a skill, a connection, an open seat, or a little time.
- What can you offer?
- Who might benefit?
- How can someone connect with you?
Start with a conversation.
Reach out.
Share a need, a resource, a possible connection, or an idea through our Contact page.
We explore the connection.
When appropriate and within our available capacity, we can review relevant resources or possibilities for community collaboration.
People choose their next step.
A connection might lead to a resource, a conversation, a referral, a shared project, or a new opportunity. Participation remains voluntary.
What we learn helps us grow.
Recurring needs and community ideas can help shape future resources, groups, and collaborative efforts at Evergrowth Haven.
A note about The Help Gap: Evergrowth Haven is a community-based initiative, not an emergency response service or a guarantee of financial assistance, supplies, placement, referrals, or other services. Please do not submit sensitive personal, medical, or identifying information through a general contact message. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
What do you need?
Somewhere between those two questions, a connection might be waiting.
You don’t have to know which side of the conversation you’re on. You can be on both.
